As the Sr. Project Manager, Dental, you will act as an entrepreneur within OptumInsight, partnering with all levels of leadership in product, engineering, strategy, and operations to deliver innovative solutions such as Real Time Settlement. You will be involved in all levels of product development including planning, development, strategy, and operations, with a tie into overall dental strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders across product, engineering, data science, and research to take the product from production to launch
  • Develop product roadmaps by translating product vision and strategy into detailed requirement documents and prototypes
  • Create and align project plans using OI tools and processes, gathering requirements from multiple stakeholders, ensuring tasks have clear owners and due dates, identifying risks, and closing gaps in a timely manner
  • Implement and manage project changes through the Accelerate process
  • Invent and simplify methodologies by planning, designing, and developing a portfolio of methodologies, tools, and systems for project delivery, continuously innovating to improve processes
  • Maintain solid presentation and communication with stakeholders regarding project status, issues, risks, and actions
  • Organize and participate in customer meetings to gather business needs and meet customer demands
  • Deeply understand customer experience, business needs, and relevant products, staying connected to healthcare trends and pain points
  • Define product strategies, identify risks, and create product roadmaps for consistent messaging
  • Partner with Strategy and Product leads to deliver documentation, communication, and artifacts to senior leadership
  • Work with stakeholders to identify GTM strategies and define product pricing
  • Manage ambiguity by working independently in complex, matrixed environments to understand requirements and organize them into comprehensive project plans

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with successful product delivery, operations, go-to-market, and post-launch roadmap management
  • 5+ years of experience supporting project workstreams such as planning, requirements, development, testing, and deployment
  • 5+ years of experience with end-to-end product delivery, including feature and operational delivery, prioritization, and contributing to technology strategy discussions
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., research, engineering, UI/UX, Program Management)
  • 3+ years of AI/ML experience
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%

Nice to Have

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience, preferably within dental payer/provider domain
  • Experience dealing with ambiguous complex products and technologies, with the ability to independently organize requirements into project plans
  • Demonstrated experience in project management within the Dental domain
  • Experience in product management in technology sectors such as provider/payer technology, cloud computing, data science, and applied machine learning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience influencing executive leaders
  • High energy, self-managed, self-starter; thrives in changing, ambiguous environments
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to structure thoughts and create visuals for stakeholders
