About the Role

The Senior Specialist, Key Accounts - Pediatrics is responsible for managing large, strategic Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) Pediatric accounts within BD's medical segment. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, increasing penetration and profitable revenue per account, and serving as the main point of contact for assigned strategic accounts. The position supports BD's smart connected care approach and focuses on expanding business opportunities, understanding customer needs, and acting as the voice of the customer to management. The role offers flexibility in location on the West Coast or Central Time Zone with significant travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large, strategic APM Pediatric accounts, building both short- and long-term relationships with customers.
  • Identify, develop, close, implement, and expand new business opportunities with select accounts, including pediatrics.
  • Apply knowledge of specific business unit product portfolio and competitor offerings to serve the needs of assigned accounts.
  • Lead the execution of both short- and long-term account plans to meet sales targets.
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned strategic accounts and serve as the voice of the customer to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • 5 years' experience of previous related experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%.
  • Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Experience in a clinical or sales role within a Medical Device company.
  • Proficiency in presenting to groups and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to sell solutions requiring physician behavior change with innovative technology.

Nice to Have

  • Pediatrics Critical Care and/or Cardiac Clinical Experience - CV ICU or CV OR nursing experience highly preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience selling capital, disposable, and software products with complex value propositions across multiple budgetary silos.
  • Experience selling clinically into the OR and ICU call points and establishing clinical and economic value at administrative and value assessment committees.
  • Proven ability to inspire change within hospitals or organizations.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
