About the Role

The Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager role at Fivetran involves leading strategic initiatives focused on data lakes and AI as core product areas. The role requires creating technical content, aligning marketing efforts with customer needs, and working closely with cross-functional teams to showcase Fivetran's data lake and AI capabilities. The position is based in Denver, Colorado, with a hybrid work model offering remote flexibility and in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create technical collateral specific to data lakes capabilities and ecosystem technologies including architecture diagrams, demos, white papers, blogs, pitch decks and other customer-facing content.
  • Develop thought leadership that translates complex technical concepts into clear value-based messaging for technical personas.
  • Review and edit materials across the Fivetran product portfolio to ensure technical accuracy, with a focus on data lake adoption and AI applications.
  • Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and competitors to inform product positioning and messaging for data lakes and AI use cases.
  • Partner with Product Management to understand product features, technical capabilities, and customer requirements to create content like how-to guides, demo videos, case studies, and whitepapers.
  • Collaborate with GTM Product Marketers, Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, and Sales teams to create campaigns, webinars, and events highlighting data lakes as a key component of modern data infrastructure.
  • Work with Partner Marketing to showcase Fivetran's integrations with data lake solutions and strategic partners through joint initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with trends in data integration, data lakes, AI, deployment models, security, and data governance, serving as a value engineer and technical expert.
  • Represent Fivetran as a product subject matter expert at events, presentations, and hands-on labs, supporting analyst relations and validating product development related to data lakes.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in product marketing, data engineering, product management, sales engineering, or data and analytics consulting.
  • Deep knowledge of data engineering with a focus on data lakes, open table formats (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg), data warehouses, data catalogs, and related technologies such as SQL, dbt, Python, Spark.
  • Technical aptitude and a desire to learn more about modern data infrastructure, data lakes, and related tools.
  • Experience partnering and coaching across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement teams to deliver impactful results.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of adapting messaging for different technical personas and mediums.
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple initiatives, maintain proactive stakeholder communication, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand the needs and challenges of data engineers, data scientists, data architects, and other technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with multiple teams including Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement.
  • Knowledge of open table formats like Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg.
  • Interest in expanding beyond data lakes into new product areas related to data integration and analytics.
