About the Role

FleishmanHillard, a global communications agency, has an immediate opening for a Senior Vice President influencer strategist for our Brand Marketing practice. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for a passionate proactive communications professional with strong influencer strategy to be a part of a collaborative team across a range of clients and sectors. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in executing best-in-class work across growing accounts, envisioning, translating, and incorporating influencer relations strategies into larger integrated marketing communications programs including activation both online and offline, with influencers of all types and tiers. The role involves working with integrated teams across the firm to use influence to meet client objectives and grow revenue, with a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and fostering an inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Envision, develop, and execute influencer relations strategies integrated into larger marketing communications programs.
  • Manage end-to-end influencer relations including identification, vetting, negotiation, content direction, relationship management, measurement, and analysis.
  • Lead development of integrated influencer campaigns across brand portfolios and businesses, aligning with business objectives and audience insights.
  • Develop strategic influencer campaigns utilizing storytelling, multi-channel distribution, amplification, and measurement.
  • Coordinate influencer-created content across social and digital ecosystems and collaborate with third parties to bring content to life.
  • Advise clients on influencer tiers, verticals, and data-driven decision-making for influencer selection and campaign timing.
  • Give strategic direction to influencers for organic, earned, or sponsored content, ensuring high performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with influencers, managing legal, financial, and contractual aspects.
  • Analyze performance metrics using tools like Omni, Tagger, and others to assess ROI and campaign success.
  • Develop and negotiate strategic affiliate marketing partnerships and understand social commerce dynamics.
  • Manage paid social programs involving influencer content across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers across client organizations to drive alignment and cross-company initiatives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to pitching efforts for organic and influencer growth.
  • Manage processes related to influencer contracting, legal, invoicing, and data collection, while assessing and mitigating risks.
  • Contribute to an inclusive working environment and foster diverse teams.

Requirements

  • At least 10-12+ years of integrated marketing and/or communications experience at an agency.
  • 6-8 years of hands-on influencer program strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end influencer relations, including identification, vetting, negotiation, and measurement.
  • Advanced experience in integrated communications strategy development and audience segmentation.
  • Strong content planning, storytelling, and multi-channel distribution skills.
  • Understanding of influencer influence metrics, filters, and benchmarks for different sectors.
  • Experience activating influencers across multiple platforms and spaces, including earned, sponsored, and experiential campaigns.
  • Knowledge of industry regulatory and promotional rules, including FTC disclosure guidelines.
  • Strong negotiation skills for contracts and rates, with experience managing legal and contractual negotiations.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and apply insights to planning and ROI measurement.
  • Understanding of social commerce, affiliate marketing, and emerging social platforms.
  • Experience managing paid social influencer programs on platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Ability to engage with senior-level decision-makers and build client relationships.
  • Organizational skills to manage contracting, invoicing, and data collection processes.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risks across legal, regulatory, financial, and contractual areas.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with influencer vetting and reporting tools such as Sprout Social, Traackr, Talkwalker.
  • Interest in emerging social platforms and evolving social media landscapes.
  • Experience in new business development and pitching for influencer programs.
