About the Role

FleishmanHillard, a global communications agency, has an immediate opening for a Senior Vice President influencer strategist for our Brand Marketing practice. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for a passionate proactive communications professional with strong influencer strategy to be a part of a collaborative team across a range of clients and sectors. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in executing best-in-class work across growing accounts, envisioning, translating, and incorporating influencer relations strategies into larger integrated marketing communications programs including activation both online and offline, with influencers of all types and tiers. The role involves working with integrated teams across the firm to use influence to meet client objectives and grow revenue. Key Responsibilities

  • Envision, translate, and incorporate influencer relations strategies into larger integrated marketing communications programs including activation both online and offline.
  • Work with integrated teams across the firm to use influence to meet client objectives and grow revenue.
  • Develop strategic influencer campaigns and programs based on business objectives and audience insights.
  • Provide strategic counsel and lead development of integrated influencer campaigns across brand portfolios and businesses.
  • Coordinate influencer-created content across social and digital ecosystems and collaborate with third parties to bring content to life.
  • Advise clients on when to leverage different influencer tiers and verticals using data and filters.
  • Give strategic direction to influencers whether organic, earned, or sponsored, and collaborate with agency teams, clients, and influencers to produce high-performing content.
  • Negotiate contracts and achieve optimal value exchange between clients and influencers, including high-investment contracts.
  • Analyze performance metrics and apply data analysis to planning and ROI measurement.
  • Develop strategic affiliate marketing partnerships and understand the role of affiliate marketing in the value exchange.
  • Manage paid social programs utilizing influencer-created content across platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Engage with and counsel senior decision-makers across the client’s business to drive alignment and execution of initiatives.
  • Build relationships and work with diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Manage processes related to influencer contracting, legal, invoicing, and data collection.
  • Assess and mitigate risks including regulatory, legal, financial, and contractual issues.
  • Cultivate diverse teams and contribute to an inclusive working environment.

Requirements

  • At least 10-12+ years of integrated marketing and/or communications experience at an agency.
  • 6-8 years of hands-on influencer program strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end influencer relations, including identification, vetting, negotiation, content direction, relationship management, measurement, and analysis.
  • Experience with influencer vetting and reporting tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Traackr, Talkwalker).
  • Advanced experience in integrated communications strategy development.
  • Strong relationship skills, ability to motivate and generate effective action across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to scale influencer campaigns across audiences, platforms, and objectives.
  • Content planning and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop narratives via influencer voices.
  • Understanding of filters and benchmarks that determine influence for various brands or sectors.
  • Experience activating influencers across platforms and spaces, including earned, sponsored, and experiential campaigns.
  • Ability to give strategic direction to influencers and collaborate with teams and clients.
  • Knowledge of industry regulatory and promotional rules, including FTC disclosure guidelines.
  • Strong negotiation skills for contracts and rates based on various variables.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and apply data analysis tools (e.g., Omni tools, Tagger).
  • Understanding social commerce and affiliate marketing, including developing partnerships and negotiating compensation models.
  • Expertise in social media strategy and emerging platforms, with experience managing paid social programs.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior decision-makers and build client relationships.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills for managing contracts, invoicing, and data collection.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risks in negotiations, legal, and regulatory contexts.

  • Experience working across multiple sectors with a primary dedicated sector focus.
  • Experience in new business development and pitching for organic and new influencer growth opportunities.
