The SMB Account Executive role involves managing the full sales cycle to acquire new accounts in the small to midsize business segment, contributing to the company's growth and security mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run a full sales process from prospecting to close.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales Engineers (ISEs) to close business.
  • Partner with channel partners to drive net-new business.
  • Forecast and report updates to the management team.
  • Become an insider within the cybersecurity industry and an expert on CrowdStrike products.
  • Stay well educated and informed about CrowdStrike's competitive landscape and how to sell the value of solutions and services.
  • May require modified work hours to accommodate accounts in different time zones and occasional travel for high-touch accounts.
  • Develop sales skills through leadership engagement, Sandler Sales Training, and mentorship from senior Account Executives.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of cold calling into greenfield accounts, particularly in Tech, SaaS, or Security.
  • Passion and interest in learning new sales methodologies and managing opportunities from discovery to close.
  • Proven experience setting appointments and engaging with C-level executives and technical teams such as engineers, software developers, and security/SOC teams.
  • Track record of exceeding expectations and sales goals.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to learn new business and technical concepts.
  • Competitive attitude with positive sportsmanship and collaboration skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, both in-person and virtual.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry or with CrowdStrike products.
  • Familiarity with the Next-Generation Endpoint market space.
  • Experience working with channel partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, particularly in Tech, SaaS, or Security sectors.
  • Ability to speak with C-level executives and technical teams.
  • Strong sales and presentation skills.
