About the Role

VML is seeking an experienced community manager to join one of the largest teams at VML and support a couple of key clients social efforts. The company is a global creative agency, part consultancy, and part technology powerhouse, with over 30,000 employees across 150+ offices in 64 markets. VML values connection, belonging, diversity, and delivers end-to-end solutions across communications, commerce, CRM, CX, data, production, and technology. The role involves acting as the eyes, ears, and voice of a brand through its owned social channels, with a focus on internet culture and short-form content.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor, assess and respond to social media mentions, replies and comments
Write short-form content that embodies the brand's voice, and support the development and evolution of that voice over time
Keep a pulse on current events, online trends and potential controversies or threats relevant to the brand
Create and manage social media content calendars
Plan and execute social media campaigns, including user-generated content (UGC), influencer programs and real-time activations

Requirements

1-3 years of social marketing experience
Experience working independently and ability to move projects forward without detailed direction
Understanding of social platforms and functions, and the ability to share that knowledge with others
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required
