About the Role

The role of Social Media Marketing Manager, under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, is to promote awareness of the brand image on all social media channels for Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort. The position involves ensuring the resort is correctly positioned as an ultra-luxury hotel product, maintaining an excellent reputation among media, the public, owners, guests, and hotel associates, and supporting brand marketing efforts aligned with the strategic direction of Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute a comprehensive social media strategy and editorial calendar for all organic content across the hotel's social media channels, based on Brand guidelines and copy tone.
  • Follow long-range objectives aligned with yearly marketing KPIs such as engagement rate, follower growth, web traffic, and net revenue, devising strategies to achieve them.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to optimize content strategy and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance analysis and social media audits, delivering insightful monthly reports to property and corporate stakeholders.
  • Manage social media agency, leading communication and biweekly meetings, and setting up the agency for success.
  • Provide measurement of the impact of online presence on the hotel's overall business, including social media engagement and results, in monthly reports.
  • Lead creation and curation of compelling, on-brand content (photo, video, copy) that aligns with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute lifestyle photoshoots and video filming from concept to completion, managing stakeholders including photographers, videographers, models, and casting agents.
  • Negotiate contracts with content creators, including usage rights and talent agreements.
  • Sort, download, and organize all assets for web, social, press, and internal use, identifying gaps and content needs.
  • Advise agency on managing all community interactions with a professional, timely, and on-brand tone.
  • Monitor agency responses to comments, messages, reviews, and inquiries across all social media platforms, responding within 24 hours.
  • Proactively manage online reputation by addressing guest comments to foster brand loyalty and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage influencer marketing programs, identifying and building relationships with relevant KOLs, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
  • Work with agency on influencer collaborations, including outreach, negotiation, and managing content deliverables.
  • Support guest needs on property, including site visits, and occasionally assist with media guests during evenings and weekends.
  • Ensure brand alignment across all guest touchpoints and support promotion of property programming and activations.
  • Create and update website content, working with the marketing team to keep web pages current.
  • Oversee design processes for collateral projects and assist with re-ordering across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing successful social media strategies and campaigns, preferably within luxury hospitality or related industries.
  • Expert proficiency with social media management platforms such as Meta Business Suite, Emplifi, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Mac applications.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Strong aesthetic sense and ability to develop engaging content for a luxury audience.
  • Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Problem-solving skills with good judgment and calmness under pressure.
  • Professional presence and adherence to high standards of grooming and presentation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours and contribute beyond immediate department when needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, lifestyle, or related industries.
