About the Role

The Social Media Operations Specialist will support the back-end infrastructure of the Planet Fitness social media ecosystem, focusing on managing platform tools and systems that power both national and local digital channels. This role involves working closely with social media teams, vendors, and internal departments to maintain API connections, ensure data integrity, troubleshoot access issues, and support data hygiene and technical setup for scalable social media and business listing execution. The position is based in Hampton, NH, with a hybrid work schedule, and aims to enable success in managing member outreach and brand reputation across all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor back-end integrations and API connections across national and local social media platforms.
  • Track and manage user access and permissions within Meta Business Manager, TikTok Business Center, and other social platform dashboards.
  • Support onboarding and maintenance of local club pages, ensuring proper connection to publishing and analytics systems.
  • Troubleshoot access, connection, and tagging issues with external partners and platform support teams.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate data flow across Salesforce, Sprinklr, and other digital tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of platform workflows, processes, and permissions.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for operational and systems improvements.
  • Act as the liaison between external business listing partners/tools and franchisees, Field Marketing, Operations, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor all social media activities related to the brand and collaborate with external and internal partners to enhance member experiences and minimize brand risk.
  • Lead club page expansion, reputation management, and online listing needs.
  • Manage the full credential lifecycle for all social media accounts and related integrations, including creating, rotating, revoking, and securely storing login credentials.
  • Own the local activation of comped memberships for agency partners, creators, PFFs, and influencers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of Meta leads to local teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media or digital marketing.
  • Passionate user of social media & digital technologies with strong knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and copy/editing skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience collaborating across departments and teams in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and organization with the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, effective across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals internally and externally.
  • Comfort and flexibility working in a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven environment.
  • Cooperative team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for growth.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce, Sprinklr, TikTok Business Center, and other digital tools.
  • Knowledge of social media platform permissions and API management.
  • Experience managing social media accounts and online reputation management.

Qualifications
