About the Role

Boost the social media presence of brands managed by the CED Marketing social team by executing digital marketing strategies to inform, advertise and attract followers, as well as organizing social media accounts, monitoring comments/messages and interacting with the social media community through the brand(s)' voice. Supports content creator in planning and writing and scheduling engaging content for all brands the social team manages. Tracks key metrics such as audience engagement, impressions, reach and brand awareness. Pulls analytics and creates reports for brands the social team manages. Manages comments, messages, and content across multiple social media platforms. Develops concepts by studying past materials and brainstorming with team. Reviews press releases, newsletters, blogs, and other digital content that pertains to all brands the social team manages. Listens and engages in target audience's social communities. Stays up to date on latest social trends and algorithms. Adheres to brand guidelines and completes projects according to deadlines assigned. Travels occasionally throughout Cherokee Nation's reservation and beyond to attend events. Balances multiple projects at once. Monitors all social-related jobs assigned. Assists supervisor with new or ongoing creative social projects. Works with existing file structure to optimize organization, naming and creation of new file types as necessary to streamline access to assets. Manages multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities. Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work may require lifting objects up to 10 lbs. Work may require travel, including overnight stays. Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, business administration, or other related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing social media pages/accounts in a fast-paced environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer design software and hardware.
  • Basic Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of social account management platforms, such as Agorapulse, Loomly, Hootsuite or Sprout Social.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn commonly used concepts, as well as company practices and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, act decisively in daily work, be flexible and work well in a multi-cultural team environment.
  • Ability to work well in a group environment or independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify solutions or approaches to problems in a constructive way.
  • Ability to handle multiple social accounts and projects at once.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media analytics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with digital content creation tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least two years of social media management experience.
