About the Role

The role of the Social Media Coordinator involves supporting the team's digital marketing efforts to enhance brand awareness, fan engagement, and content production across various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of all Florida Panthers owned social media channels, including X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Stay up to date with relevant social media trends and apply best practices to the Panthers' brand and ancillary accounts.
  • Assist in leading event coverage for Panthers games, concerts, and related events.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate efforts and cross-promotional opportunities for theme nights, community initiatives, and sponsorship activations.
  • Monitor social conversations around the Panthers, NHL, and current social/cultural landscape to inform content and engagement strategies.
  • Brainstorm, create, and execute content ideas for various company initiatives.
  • Assist in influencer marketing strategies and manage relationships with local teams, affiliates, NHL social channels, and vendors.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience managing brand social media accounts.
  • Strong understanding of social media culture, platforms, trends, and strategy.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Passion for social media, pop culture, and sports.
  • Proficiency in using data-driven strategies to drive KPIs and decision making.
  • Experience with DSLR and mirrorless cameras and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Ability to work under fluid deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
