Social Media Coordinator (Contract)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Capture video and photo content in-office (1-2 times per week) to execute daily posts around campaigns, launches, and ongoing storytelling.
• Plan, shoot, and edit short-form content such as Reels, TikToks, Stories, and LinkedIn posts.
• Schedule and publish video and static posts across social platforms, adapting tone and style for each channel.
• Coordinate recurring content series like “Ask a Perfumer” in collaboration with Generation's perfumery team.
• Execute graphic design and editing to share press, media coverage, and science-driven storytelling in digestible formats.
• Respond to DMs, comments, and inbound leads; pass qualified opportunities to the internal team.
• Track content performance and report weekly insights.

Requirements

• 2+ years of work experience in social media content creation, production, or digital storytelling.
• Proven ability to capture and edit video content for mobile-first formats.
• Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn content trends and publishing tools.
• Strong visual and content sensibility.
• Self-directed, proactive communicator who thrives in creative environments.
• Detail-oriented writer and editor capable of modifying/repackaging content for multiple channels.
• Ability to be on-site in NYC 1-2 times per week.

• Built or managed a social presence for a creative brand, founder, or studio.
• Obsession with storytelling formats and visual trends, with strategic thinking skills.
• Experience with fashion, luxury, beauty, or tech brands.
• Experience working on B2B campaigns balancing creativity and commercial goals.
• Curiosity about scent, science, AI, and multisensory storytelling.
