The role of the Social Media Director involves developing and executing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage target audiences, and support overall marketing objectives, contributing significantly to the company's digital presence and marketing success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee all social media accounts and platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Create and curate engaging and high-quality content for social media channels, including posts, videos, graphics, and other multimedia assets.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to drive brand awareness, increase audience engagement, and generate leads.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics and trends to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into the company's social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Growth Marketing, PR & Communications, to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all social media channels.
  • Monitor social media conversations and respond to inquiries, comments, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, escalating when necessary.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on social media performance, campaign effectiveness, and audience behavior to key stakeholders.
  • Manage campaigns with a data-driven approach and compile insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage the employee advocacy program on Hootsuite Amplify, ensuring content and users are current.
  • Drive end-to-end annual and quarterly planning for organic social media.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with growth marketing, creative services, and public relations to refine messaging across social media.
  • Liaise with Public Relations team to elevate Business Unit leaders as thought leaders on social media.
  • Create a Social Media Center of Excellence across the enterprise, with content and strategy managed by Global Marketing.
  • Collaborate with social media agencies on evolving social media strategy.
  • Attend and capture footage at top-tier events, with photography, video capture, and editing experience preferred.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in B2B marketing and/or Corporate Social Media.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of paid marketing tactics, including Google and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with marketing automation software such as Hubspot or Marketo, and social media scheduling tools.
  • Ability to analyze data, overcome data noise, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for different social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful social media strategies that drive engagement and achieve business goals.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with two direct reports.

Nice to Have

  • Photography, video capture, and editing experience.
  • Experience attending and capturing footage from top-tier events.
