About the Role

The Lincoln Center Internship Program is a paid, in-person arts administration internship designed for NYC-based undergraduate and graduate students seeking meaningful, real-world experience in the cultural sector. The program cultivates the next generation of leaders by offering hands-on work opportunities and access to professionals across the arts and culture field. The Social Media Intern will join the Communications Department, supporting digital content creation and community engagement efforts that help amplify Lincoln Center's programming and mission across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft social media posts to promote Lincoln Center Presents events
  • Assist during social media video content shoots
  • Respond to messages and comments in social inboxes to foster community engagement
  • Help create and post Instagram Stories
  • Support editing of graphics and video content
  • Participate in brainstorms for social content planning
  • Research trends and ideas to inform future campaigns and content

Requirements

  • A college student or graduate student with an interest in communications, social media, journalism, or marketing
  • Based in New York City or the Greater NYC area
  • Available to work 20 hours per week from September-December 2025
  • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support live event coverage
  • Familiar with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.)
  • Experience with video editing for social media (using tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Reels, TikTok etc.)
  • Able to write social copy with minimal grammatical or spelling errors
  • Comfortable with collaboration and proactive communication
  • A self-starter who also thrives in team environments
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva)

  • Samples of previous work/social media content
