About the Role

The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Advertising & Creative and is responsible for developing and managing the social media strategy for Harris Teeter. The role involves understanding brand strategy, analyzing customer data, and driving performance across social media channels to enhance engagement, loyalty, and brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong social media strategy to drive engagement, loyalty, and performance metrics.
  • Lead outside media partners, AOR, and internal Social Media Specialist in development, execution, and analysis of social media campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
  • Oversee the development, measurement, and enhancement of all social media campaigns.
  • Conduct research and source appropriate tools for social management, listening, and analytics.
  • Lead the strategic development of social media briefs for creative solutions and content ideas.
  • Partner with the Creative Team and Sr. Producer to generate ideas and create social media assets.
  • Set social media goals and KPIs by period, quarter, and year-over-year growth.
  • Lead workflow process improvements, including optimization of Workfront project management system.
  • Review and approve all social media creative to ensure alignment with brand objectives, voice, tone, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with departments for social engagement at events such as sports marketing, grand openings, and store events.
  • Capture photos and videos of promotional activities and philanthropic events for sharing on social media.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on social media requests and provide recommendations aligned with business objectives and KPIs.
  • Monitor, report, and analyze key performance indicators for all social media activities.
  • Create and present competitive analysis reports.
  • Manage social media budgeting, invoicing, and reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Social Media Manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail social media management experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in social media tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout.
  • Basic skills in Adobe Suite, Photoshop, or Canva.
  • Knowledge of analytics software like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
  • Experience overseeing social media campaigns and creative assets.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate with third-party agencies and vendors.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and design software.
  • Knowledge of social media advertising and paid campaign management.
  • Experience in retail or brand marketing environments.

Qualifications
