About the Role
NORY is the premier STEM camp provider in NYC and Boston, enriching the learning journey of 4,000+ children annually through immersive and hands-on learning experiences. Our mission is to develop young risk-takers, problem solvers, and empathetic leaders. We are seeking a Part-Time Social Media Manager with strong video editing and digital design skills to elevate NORY's online presence. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented storyteller who thrives in creating content that engages families and reflects the joyful energy of our camps. The position involves developing, designing, and publishing content across social platforms while working virtually with our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and edit compelling social content (videos, reels, graphics, stories, carousels) that capture the NORY experience.
- Manage and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms, maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
- Monitor and engage with followers, parents, and partners to strengthen community ties and responsiveness.
- Track post performance, audience growth, and engagement metrics, using insights to guide future content strategy.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support enrollment campaigns, seasonal announcements, and storytelling initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing social media accounts with a portfolio that demonstrates video editing, motion graphics, and digital design skills.
- Strong understanding of social trends, especially in Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Excellent written communication skills with a flair for storytelling.
- Familiarity with the NYC parenting and education market is a plus, but not required.
