Social Media Specialist & Junior Restoration Technician

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute content strategies for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Capture high-quality photos and videos of job sites, projects, before-and-after transformations, team activities, and customer testimonials.
• Edit and produce engaging short-form and long-form content that aligns with the company brand and marketing goals.
• Write captions, posts, and blog content that highlight services, educate customers, and showcase company culture.
• Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and interact with online followers.
• Track content performance and suggest improvements based on analytics.
• Coordinate with management to ensure content complies with privacy, safety, and brand guidelines.
• Assist senior technicians with water damage, mold remediation, and other restoration services.
• Set up and operate restoration equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers, and extraction tools.
• Perform basic cleaning, debris removal, and drying procedures.
• Help document job progress for internal records and insurance purposes (including photo documentation).
• Follow safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Maintain equipment and keep work vehicles stocked and organized.

Requirements

• Strong photography, videography, and social media skills.
• Basic knowledge of editing tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, etc.).
• Ability to learn restoration industry terminology and processes quickly.
• Willingness to work in physically demanding, sometimes dirty environments.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with both marketing and field teams.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice to Have

• Experience in content creation for service-based businesses.
• Previous restoration, construction, or cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of IICRC standards (training can be provided).
• Comfortable on camera for occasional marketing appearances.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in physically demanding, sometimes dirty environments.
• Good communication skills.
