About the Role

The Social Media Strategist at Empire State Realty Trust will play a pivotal role in enhancing ESRT's digital presence by leading social media storytelling across real estate, corporate news, and events, while also spearheading the influencer marketing program for the Empire State Building's social channels. Reporting directly to the Director of Social Media, this position is central to ESRT's identity as a NYC-focused REIT and proud owner of the iconic Empire State Building, which attracts millions of tourists annually. The role involves managing content creation, social media campaigns, influencer relations, and ensuring brand consistency across platforms to support marketing and leasing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with content calendar creation and management, including asset selection, copy, tracking link creation, and scheduling social media posts for all ESRT channels to align with brand objectives and marketing goals.
  • Manage social media campaigns and content development, including real estate content, corporate news, events, leadership appearances, and other brand initiatives.
  • Work with content team to lead execution of ESRT content production.
  • Collaborate with ESRT's leasing team and external brokers to craft social content that drives web traffic and leasing.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on social media engagement and influencer relations.
  • Create content geared towards ESRT's Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Grow influencer programs through outreach, maintaining relationships, and organizing influencer events and visits.
  • Find, vet, and coordinate influencers' arrival and tickets.
  • Lead contract and collaboration negotiations with influencer teams.
  • Edit operating hours across Google, TripAdvisor, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Review and edit content calendar from external social agency for clarity and accuracy.
  • Manage expenses and annual budget for influencer relations.
  • Establish brand alignment and messaging consistency across social platforms.
  • Develop a content calendar reflecting strategic marketing goals and ensure timely execution.
  • Achieve growth in social media engagement metrics such as followers, likes, shares, and reach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers for collaborations and visibility.
  • Ensure all public-facing information is accurate to maintain credibility.
  • Create engaging content that resonates with the target audience and reinforces brand recognition.
  • Manage the budget for influencer relations and social media initiatives to maximize ROI.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in social media and digital marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with key social platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social, Salesforce, and social scheduling tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with influencer outreach and campaign management.
  • Experience working in real estate or corporate branding.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics and performance monitoring.
