About the Role

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Software Developer at GDIT. You'll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Our work depends on a Software Developer joining our team to support the development of systems and capabilities centered on our comprehensive motion imagery software suite. The Software Developer will focus on ensuring the mission is met while upgrading to cutting-edge technologies in full motion video (FMV) of the programs technical vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of systems and capabilities centered on motion imagery software.
  • Ensure the mission is met while upgrading to cutting-edge technologies in full motion video (FMV).
  • Use language skillsets such as Java (AOP, IOC), Javascript, React/Redux, AngularJS, SQL, NoSQL, Graph, C++.
  • Develop and integrate microservice APIs (gRPC/REST).
  • Deploy micro and macro services in NodeJS or JBoss.
  • Manage communication endpoints in gRPC or REST.
  • Perform REST-based service level integration, API negotiation, threading, and load balancing.
  • Apply ETL concepts and engines to decouple solutions.
  • Create and maintain orchestration templates, modifying templates for classified environments.
  • Model, visualize, and query data using GraphDB, SQL, and NoSQL databases like MS SQL Server, OmniSci, Accumulo/Hadoop.
  • Develop reactive web applications using React/Redux, rxJS, Reactive Streams, and manage legacy applications in AngularJS.
  • Debug and troubleshoot applications in customer space.
  • Leverage messaging engines and HA clusters such as Kafka streams/KsqlDB.
  • Manage containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Create, deploy, and manage scalable software containers.

Requirements

  • Skilled at applying and executing highly advanced technologies, principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Willing to learn in one discipline and develop working knowledge in adjacent disciplines.
  • Proficient understanding of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Experience developing within an Agile framework, including sprints, demonstrations, and Scrum.
  • Ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions effectively.
  • Ability to clearly report relevant information and anticipate technology, process, and skill needs.
  • Experience with JIRA for managing metrics, performance, and backlogs.
  • US Citizenship and current Top Secret SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MS SQL Server, OmniSci, Accumulo/Hadoop.
  • Experience managing scalability of deployed software products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
