About the Role

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Software Developer at GDIT. You'll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Our work depends on a Software Developer joining our team to support the development of systems and capabilities centered on our comprehensive motion imagery software suite. The Software Developer will focus on ensuring the mission is met while upgrading to cutting-edge technologies in full motion video (FMV) of the programs technical vision.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development of systems and capabilities centered on motion imagery software.
Apply and integrate technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React/Redux, AngularJS, SQL, NoSQL, Graph, C++, and others.
Develop and deploy microservice APIs using gRPC/REST, manage communication endpoints, and handle API negotiation.
Use ETL concepts and engines to decouple solutions and create/modify orchestration templates for classified and unclassified environments.
Model, visualize, and query data using GraphDB, SQL, and NoSQL databases like MS SQL Server, OmniSci, and Hadoop.
Develop reactive web applications using React/Redux, rxJS, and Reactive Streams, and manage legacy applications in AngularJS.
Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain applications across Java and C++ environments.
Leverage messaging engines, HA clusters, Kafka streams, and KsqlDB.
Manage containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, including creating, deploying, and scaling containers.

Requirements

Skilled at applying and executing highly advanced technologies, principles, theories, and concepts.
Willing to learn in one discipline and develop working knowledge in adjacent disciplines.
Proficient understanding of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
Experience with JIRA for managing metrics, performance, and backlogs.
Experience developing within an Agile framework, including sprints, demonstrations, and Scrum.
Ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions effectively.
Ability to clearly report relevant information and anticipate technology, process, and skill needs.
Must possess a Top Secret SCI clearance with Polygraph.
A Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

Experience with MS SQL Server, OmniSci, Accumulo/Hadoop.
Experience managing scalability of deployed software products.
