About the Role

The AI Software & Platform Team at Cisco delivers AI products that help businesses defend against threats and safeguard critical aspects of their operations with security resilience. The role involves contributing to the development and maintenance of an innovative AI defense platform, ensuring platform reliability, and collaborating across teams to enhance security solutions in the AI domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the AI defense platform to enable customers to confidently deploy and manage AI systems.
  • Ensure excellent user experience and platform reliability, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups to drive platform enhancements and feature development, aligning with product and engineering requirements.
  • Work with multi-functional teams within Cisco Security Business group to address security challenges related to AI systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus at least 3 years or Master's degree plus at least 2 years of industry experience in software development, especially in building scalable SaaS applications.
  • Experience in at least one modern programming language such as Go or Python.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with API frameworks (e.g., Swagger, OpenAPI, GraphQL) and service frameworks (e.g., Django, Spring).

Nice to Have

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex requirements and propose effective solutions.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS with cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience with Protobuf, GraphQL, and Go.
  • Prior experience in B2B enterprise software development and understanding of the security field and risk management.

  • Educational background in computer science or related field (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
