About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of six engineers to lead platform and data analytics for U.S. Bank Spend Management products.
• Drive execution and delivery of new platform development areas.
• Architect, design, and develop highly available, secure, scaled platform services for small business credit card customers.
• Responsible for product architecture and development, platform engineering practices, standards, and strategies for SaaS scalability, reliability, performance, and platform orchestration validation.
• Maintain team ownership over software lifecycle and execution for new features and products, including requirement specification, work order prioritization, development, quality management, defect management, root cause analysis, production implementation, and support.
• Design and maintain platform engineering practices, development and release standards, and product delivery orchestration.
• Conduct team scrums, implement agile product development, and observability practices.
• Oversee delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient technology solutions.
• Collaborate with senior management, experience development team, DevOps, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Manage engineers and drive execution of the roadmap using Agile methodologies like Sprints or Kanban.
• Mentor team members and support their career development.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Requires 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a software engineer, software engineering manager, quality assurance engineer, or related role.
• Must have 5 years of experience leading platform software engineering teams.
• Experience leading end-to-end integration of AWS-based product design applications.
• Ability to create test plans and approaches using RESTFUL API.
• Experience conducting CI/CD using Jenkins and Git.
• Proficiency in tracking, resolving, and managing tasks using Jira.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Scripting experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.JS, ReactJS, Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant post-baccalaureate experience.
