About the Role

The Software QA Automation Manager will lead the transformation of Bose's automation team, elevating test practices, scaling automation infrastructure, and mentoring top talent. This role involves working on iconic products such as headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, and home theater systems, with a focus on improving software quality across Bluetooth devices and mobile platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a growing team of QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Redesign and scale test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Introduce smart, reliable test strategies for fast feedback and early defect detection.
  • Partner with developers, architects, product owners, and other QA leaders to integrate quality into all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop test plans, define appropriate test suites, and build tools to test functionality, performance, and stability.
  • Drive test execution and reporting using tools like Jenkins, TestRail, and AWS.
  • Promote best practices in CI/CD and automated regression testing.
  • Ensure robust validation of Bluetooth connectivity and mobile interactions on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Implement and report on quality KPIs, providing clear status updates and risk assessments.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in QA or Software Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience designing, implementing, and executing automated tests.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience with Python and other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with common automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of version control, bug tracking, and CI/CD systems and procedures.
  • Expertise with Bluetooth, WiFi, or other networking protocols.
  • Experience with basic lab equipment such as Bluetooth analyzers.
  • Keen sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, detail-oriented, analytical mindset, perfection seeker.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Android, iOS, or other mobile application development or testing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with additional scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools and environments.
  • Previous experience working in consumer electronics or related industries.
