About the Role

The opportunity involves working as a Software Quality Assurance Tester to evaluate software developed for the Air Force. The role requires creating test plans, executing test cases, documenting results, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure the release of high-quality software. This position offers growth in functional testing, hardware testing, defect management, and troubleshooting support within a team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Work with testers, developers, engineers, and project stakeholders to evaluate software developed for the Air Force.
Create a test plan with test cases based on user stories.
Generate test data and implement test cases to observe software performance.
Document test results and communicate defects to the development team for resolution.
Maintain test artifacts such as test case repositories and SQA documentation.
Review and interpret system and application logs to assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in agile or hybrid development environments.

Requirements

Experience with manual testing, identifying defects, and reporting test statuses.
Experience with identifying, isolating, and documenting defects.
Experience creating and maintaining test artifacts such as test case repositories and SQA documentation.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
Ability to design, execute, and maintain test cases based on requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documents.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in agile or hybrid environments.
Ability to review and interpret system and application logs for troubleshooting.
Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

Experience with hardware testing and troubleshooting.
Experience with Jira, WSL, and Gitlab.
Ability to pay strict attention to detail.
Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Top Secret clearance.
