About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consumer & sensory insights to I&R projects by partnering proactively with Project Managers, defining questions and outcomes, and guiding sensory evaluation and consumer methodologies.
  • Participate actively in cross-functional project teams from front-end innovation to launch, ensuring knowledge transfer to industrialization and guiding sensory specifications.
  • Build and leverage sensory & consumer preference knowledge to identify growth and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support Product and Process Mastership to understand the effects of recipe and process parameters on sensory attributes and consumer acceptance.
  • Define clear, time-bounded research plans, manage studies from planning to analysis, and ensure impactful results for cross-functional teams and business partners.
  • Collaborate with Sensory Panel Leaders, Technicians, and external agencies to ensure lean and transparent execution of research studies.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of consumer & sensory practices, participate in panel maintenance, training, and coaching Sensory Panel Leaders.
  • Advise Quality Management to reduce sensory defects, train factory sensory analysts, and assist with sensory specifications implementation.
  • Contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing activities to improve sensory and consumer competencies within Markets and R&D.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Sensory Science, Consumer Science, Market Research, Food Technology, Food Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sensory analysis, consumer product testing techniques, and their applications.
  • Experience leading sensory activities and working with sensory research agencies.
  • Experience in market research with exposure to various consumer testing techniques.
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods, with both R&D and business experience considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP.
  • Strong statistical skills and fluency in statistical software.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with visual storytelling ability.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Independently motivated with good interpersonal and teamwork skills, and understanding of business/technical interrelationships.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in both R&D and business sides of consumer-packaged goods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
