Sponsorships Sales Director

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Secure multiyear/multimillion-dollar sponsorships for American Dream and American Dream attractions
• Work with American Dream to identify possible sponsorship collateral and assets
• Contribute to revenue development and overall business growth by expanding existing partnerships and identifying new relationships
• Craft specific partner packages/decks with innovative ideas that feature unique assets at American Dream to meet and exceed partner marketing and business goals
• Proactively seek and cultivate business relationships
• Leverage knowledge and relationships with brands and sponsorship agencies to develop revenue opportunities
• Build deep trusted relationships with sponsorship decision-makers within brands and their agencies to serve their marketing needs
• Liaise across internal and external sponsorship, partnership, and leasing teams to understand partner/prospect needs and create customized partnership opportunities
• Build, refine, update, and maintain a pipeline of prospects and establish effective relationships with brand advertisers and agencies
• Maintain awareness of cultural trends in music, art, film, fashion, and culinary to stay relevant
• Find new ways to activate the brand and those of partners and sponsors by bringing innovative ideas
• Assist VP of Marketing with strategic partnership and sponsorship planning, P&L management, and sales strategy calendar
• Direct, negotiate, and assist in execution and fulfillment of all sponsor/media agreements
• Liaise with external agencies and clients

Requirements

• BA degree in Business or Marketing preferred
• Personal relationships/rolodex with C-level executives at top companies
• Minimum of 10 years in sponsorship sales/marketing experience, preferably with an entertainment venue or sports team
• Strong knowledge of sponsorship sales, marketing, and corporate community strategies including industry trends and terminology
• Ability to craft integrated marketing plans and solutions
• Self-starter with proven ability to research and identify prospective sponsors and new business opportunities
• Experience in ad sales, prospecting, and developing sponsorship partnerships
• Passion for destination entertainment, retail, dining, events, and experiential marketing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creating proposals and presentations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with digital project management software; InDesign a plus

Qualifications

• BA degree in Business or Marketing (preferred)
