About the Role

The Sr. Specialty Sales / Account Executive is responsible for promoting and selling Accredo's Specialty Pharmacy Services in assigned product lines within the specified territory. The role serves as the primary liaison and advocate for customers and their specialty patients, working closely with internal teams to maintain a high standard of customer service. This position supports both the Alabama and Tennessee markets, with a preference for candidates residing in Birmingham, AL or metro Nashville, TN or nearby areas. Knowledge of Neurology therapies is highly desirable but not required, provided the candidate has documented success in selling service-based models in healthcare or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary sales contact representing the company to physicians' offices, hospital clinics, outpatient, and independent physician-owned infusion suites.
  • Collaborate with clinical care teams, reimbursement departments, and brand teams to provide insights and solutions to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Assist National Account Managers in implementing key payer contracts to drive local pull-through business and communicate regularly with payor teams.
  • Develop territory sales forecasts based on profiles of assigned physician offices and track all referrals from physicians.
  • Use business acumen and knowledge of Accredo products/services and industry trends to meet or exceed patient admit goals.
  • Attend and participate in key conferences and exhibits for targeted audiences such as physicians, nurses, and support groups.
  • Attend case conferences with internal support staff from service branches.
  • Participate in strategic planning of sales and product launch meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (strongly preferred).
  • Sales experience in a service model, preferably with MS and Neurology knowledge, or clinical nursing experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and overall computer skills.
  • Knowledge of managed care, insurance benefits, and payers.
  • Experience with strategic business plan development.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to self-motivate.
  • Ability to work both in-person at referring accounts and remotely from home or a nearby site.
  • Reliable internet connection with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds.

  • Knowledge and experience in Neurology therapies.
  • Documented success in selling healthcare or service-based models.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years relevant experience (preferred).
