About the Role

The Sr Acct Spec, USC Specialty Respiratory at GSK is a role focused on providing scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers supporting GSK's biologic respiratory products. The position involves developing strategies to generate sales, maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and internal teams, and working within compliance guidelines to support GSK's respiratory portfolio in the Fargo, North Dakota region. GSK is a global biopharma company dedicated to uniting science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease and improve health outcomes worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer customers to appropriate resources within GSK guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Develop and implement account-specific strategies for customers such as allergists, pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and office managers.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other internal functions.
  • Manage allocated resources effectively, including financial resources.
  • Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and needs to provide outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight travel up to 30%.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to operate a vehicle, as driving is an essential function.
  • For Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
  • For Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with specialty products utilizing Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution modes.
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
  • Sales experience in biologics, rare diseases, or respiratory therapies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement and distribution processes in healthcare.
