Sr Data Governance Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Review and challenge of First Line Data Governance Program Deliverables
• Evaluate remediation plans and deliverables
• Provide independent challenge to ensure alignment with enterprise data governance standards and regulatory expectations
• Conduct verification activities for data-related issues to confirm effective remediation
• Collaborate with first-line teams to assess root cause analysis and sustainability of fixes
• Assess data-related risks and evaluate the design and effectiveness of associated controls
• Support risk assessments and control testing activities as needed
• Assist in the calculation of key data risk and control metrics
• Review and challenge metric methodologies and results to ensure accuracy and relevance

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in data management, technology risk, or cyber risk management
• Experience with second-line risk functions or data governance roles within financial services
• Strong familiarity with the Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) framework
• Deep understanding of data governance principles and regulatory expectations
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as DCAM, CDMC, CISSP, CGRC, ISSMP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE, or CGEIT

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in data management, risk, or cyber risk roles
