About the Role

The Sr. Director of Marketing at Crescent Hotels & Resorts is responsible for leading the marketing strategy for 33 Hotel in York City, including its food & beverage outlets, Urban Cove Society & Kitchen and Alcove Lounge. The role involves executing initiatives to drive brand recognition, customer engagement, and revenue growth through integrated marketing efforts across digital, print, and event channels. The position requires on-site presence with frequent hotel visits to support event marketing and media relations, contributing to a vibrant hospitality environment in the Seaport District.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute holistic and integrated marketing strategies aligned with business goals, including campaigns across digital, social, print, and events.
  • Write annual and quarterly marketing plans in collaboration with hotel leadership and marketing teams.
  • Create and oversee RFP processes and manage proposals for PR, advertising, and website agencies.
  • Champion brand identity and ensure consistency across all touchpoints, referencing brand guidelines.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts including website management, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media, driving online engagement and conversions.
  • Manage the hotel website (Wordpress CMS), upload content, ensure SEO optimization, and monitor booking flows.
  • Develop and execute email marketing strategies, including content creation, deployment, and reporting using CRM systems.
  • Partner with PR and digital agencies, review and approve advertisements, and ensure effective communication.
  • Oversee organic social media content creation, posting, customer service responses, and reporting.
  • Execute paid digital initiatives such as sponsored ads on OpenTable, Yelp, Google My Business, and geo-fencing campaigns.
  • Lead content development including copywriting, graphics, and video production, coordinating photo and video shoots as needed.
  • Coordinate with hotel operations for content shoots, ensuring spaces are prepared and content is uploaded and optimized.
  • Collaborate with revenue teams to identify opportunities for packages, rate strategies, and promotional content.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure marketing effectiveness, optimize campaigns, and report performance metrics.
  • Track marketing expenditures, maintain KPI reports, and present monthly performance reviews to stakeholders.
  • Lead and collaborate with a team of marketing professionals, fostering creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Sales, Food & Beverage, and Revenue teams to develop and track promotional success.
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of marketing experience within the hotel industry.
  • Expertise in social media platforms and strategy.
  • Knowledge of consumer engagement and digital trends.
  • Ability to present and communicate marketing reports to stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of agency expectations and industry benchmarks.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with peers, partners, and media.
  • Proactive and resourceful with the ability to complete tasks with available resources.
  • Proficient in website content management systems, especially Wordpress.
  • Experience with Email Marketing or CRM systems.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics/GA4.
  • Organized with great attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to walk hotel spaces for content creation and audits.

Nice to Have

  • Canva and/or graphic design/video editing experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Hotel experience (preferred)
