About the Role

The Senior Director of Owned Marketing at Coach is a key leadership role within the North America Marketing team, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance personalized customer journeys and optimize owned communication channels such as email, SMS, and the customer loyalty program. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with brand goals and objectives, leveraging consumer insights to drive brand love and repeat purchases.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to segment customers based on behavior, demographics, and preferences, and develop customer profiles and personas for personalized messaging.
  • Create and oversee tailored content for emails, SMS, and marketing materials to deliver targeted messages that resonate with specific customer segments, ensuring consistent brand voice.
  • Leverage data analytics tools to gather insights on customer engagement and satisfaction, monitor KPIs, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Martech COE team to identify and implement tools and platforms supporting personalization initiatives, staying updated on industry trends.
  • Work with the media team to balance the role of owned channels and media tactics, optimizing the total customer journey.
  • Reimagine and develop the brand loyalty program, integrating it into daily communications, and innovate on perks, programming, and retention measurement.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate and optimize personalization and communication strategies.
  • Manage relationships with vendors across MarTech, CRM, and creative agencies, onboarding new platforms and fostering innovation.
  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for personalization and communication initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in owned marketing, customer segmentation, and personalized communication strategies.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, customer behavior, and KPIs related to marketing effectiveness.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing technology teams and implementing marketing tools and platforms.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans aligned with brand objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with media, creative, and vendor teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the fashion or luxury retail industry.
  • Knowledge of loyalty program development and management.
  • Familiarity with industry trends in personalization technology and media strategies.
