Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall retail sales strategy for Americas in alignment with company goals.
  • Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting for the retail channel.
  • Identify growth opportunities across key accounts and new retail segments.
  • Build, coach, and lead a team of regional and national account managers, directors, and support staff.
  • Foster a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
  • Set and monitor performance KPIs and provide mentorship to team members.
  • Cultivate and manage senior-level relationships with key retail partners (e.g., Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Amazon Retail, etc.).
  • Lead strategic negotiations, JBP (Joint Business Planning), and category management initiatives.
  • Ensure excellence in retail execution, pricing integrity, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to align sales efforts and optimize the go-to-market approach.
  • Partner with product and insights teams to inform product development and shopper trends.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and shifts in consumer behavior.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations to maintain competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing retail sales.
  • Proven success in managing large retail accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of the North American retail landscape (e.g., big box, specialty, e-commerce).
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with sales forecasting tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in consumer goods, electronics, apparel, etc.
  • Background working with omnichannel retail strategies.
  • Familiarity with DTC and e-retail dynamics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 12+ years of sales experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership managing retail sales.
