About the Role

The Senior Director, Worldwide Brand Marketing will own and activate critical aspects of the Herbalife global brand. This includes global brand positioning and pillars, global creative, content and social strategy. This is a high-profile role within the corporate and global organization. The Senior Director, Brand Marketing will be in charge of guiding, collaborating with, and aligning with key collaborators across the organization and in the regions. They will work cross functionally with Worldwide Product Marketing, Worldwide Creative Services, Corporate Communications, Worldwide Sales and others in crafting and implementing a change agenda to build Herbalife into a global lifestyle and wellness brand. This Senior Director will engage and lead world class partners and resources to deliver outstanding brand assets that align with our purpose and that are loved by our Distributors, Customers, Elite Stakeholders and the public. They will serve as a global brand ambassador, working towards ensure detailed global execution and will own brand governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the CMO to define, refine and implement a strategic brand positioning that leverages our Distributor difference and helps build a global health & wellness lifestyle brand.
  • Owns and activates supporting brand pillars and stories (e.g., Distributor difference; Quality & Science; Customer Goals; Wellness Philosophy; Sustainability, etc).
  • Identify and lead strategic, creative, and internal partners to define/refine brand and creative strategy, including brand look and feel, design aesthetics, and global expression.
  • Lead global roll-out, adaptation and governance of new brand strategy & platform, ensuring brand positioning, story, creative strategy, look & feel are well understood and practically applied at all levels.
  • Build global brand training & education, workshops, etc. to drive compliance and knowledge.
  • Connect to Herbalife's business model and go-to-market strategy, weaving this into all strategic brand & creative work.
  • Work with WW Sales & WW Events teams to integrate brand platform & story into meetings, events, recognitions, etc.
  • Convert strategic plans into actionable programs and projects.
  • Lead and develop content plan that delivers on strategic business goals across all channels.
  • Lead Corporate social strategy and team to deliver brand storytelling and build brand equity.
  • Influence WW Product Marketing, Innovation, Corporate Communications, Digital and other functions to integrate global brand and creative strategy.
  • Engage key constituents including CEO/Senior Management, Distributors & Distributor Leadership, and on-the-ground Distributors through their daily methods of operation.
  • Ensure ongoing communication of critical information and standard processes across regions.
  • Provide key brand health performance indicators to senior management to inform business decisions.
  • Lead Directors and Sr Managers.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of global brand management experience in a traditional Consumer Packaged Goods company or 12+ years combined experience in a global CPG company or advertising agency.
  • Substantial experience in lifestyle, health, wellness, beauty, and/or food branding.
  • Experience leading global brand & creative strategy across regions/countries.
  • Proven ability leading the brand and creative strategic process, including developing brand positioning and implementing in market.
  • Experience working across a matrixed organization and influencing management.
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team with challenging priorities.
  • Proven success in developing and leading teams and agencies in strategy and/or creative.
  • Demonstrated success in building a global brand change agenda.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Cross-functional team management experience collaborating with commercial functions.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels with cultural sensitivity.

  • Experience in health, wellness, beauty, or food branding.
  • Experience influencing senior management and regional leaders.
  • Experience with global brand governance and training.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
