About the Role

Anywhere Automation Engineering team develops reusable tools and capabilities which internal product development teams use to self-service and accelerate software releases. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to make a positive impact on the daily lives of developers and engineers at Anywhere. This person will work with development teams to understand their needs, improve their processes and automate them. The goal is to reduce waste in the developer's day, so they can work on more important work. In addition, you will need to train people to use our solutions. This role requires consultant-like skills to interact with developers and tech leads, helping them improve and adopt engineering standards. It is a senior, code-contributing role that emphasizes collaboration, communication, and user documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

Work with tech leads in other teams and possibly their leadership to help them measurably improve and adopt engineering standards.
Work with developers to understand their needs, so you can provide optimal solutions to their needs, then clearly communicate the solution to the team and the wider organization.
Develop automation tools using Node.js, Docker, Lambda, and other AWS services.
Build highly configurable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using CloudFormation, AWS CDK or Terraform.
Build CI/CD Pipelines for end-to-end automation using GitLab, BitBucket or Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with Product Development, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Infosec, and Compliance teams to capture requirements and launch automation solutions.
Be an advocate for engineering standard methodologies, engineering metrics, and overall help set the standard on technical excellence.

Requirements

9+ years of software development experience.
5+ years as a Node.js developer building microservices and RESTful services.
4+ years in developing cloud-native applications using AWS Lambda, ECS or Kubernetes or equivalent Azure technologies.
4+ years combined in AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK or Terraform.
4+ years in scripting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps, integrating with tools like Sonar, Contrast etc.
Proficiency in networking and security concepts like DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Encryption, etc.
