Sr. Manager, Head of Content Marketing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop audience-first content strategies for a near to mid-term roadmap that grows value for U.S. Consumer Card across the funnel
• Identify opportunities for audience growth on new channels, formats, and audience personas
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in Content Marketing and channel dynamics, including how AI can be leveraged
• Manage the development of a test & learn agenda to improve conversion and UX on the Learn & Grow content hub
• Oversee day-to-day content marketing editorial strategy and execution across owned properties and partner platforms
• Ensure all content is consistent, carries a distinctive POV, and meets or exceeds available alternatives
• Manage SEO agency and other agency partners in audience and keyword research, strategic planning, and creative execution
• Use data and hypotheses to understand content performance and inform content ideas and strategy adjustments
• Partner with Process/Project Management and Brand Creative teams to scale and improve content creation and publishing processes
• Collaborate with Enterprise Tech to ensure capabilities like modular components, advanced CMS, personalization, and CRO testing are in place

Requirements

• Demonstrates a deep understanding of audience needs and turning insights into data-backed strategies
• Proven success in content marketing strategic planning, growth levers, and multi-channel production practices
• Knowledge of analytics platforms for website, search, and web testing
• Strong strategic and analytical orientation with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Understanding of publishing best practices across websites, search, social, email, and sponsored content
• Familiarity with the digital media landscape and MarTech tools for audience development
• Ability to identify relevant KPIs and establish plans to achieve goals
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strategic influencing ability
• Experience working in ambiguity, building long-term visions, and inspiring teams

Nice to Have

• Master's of Business Administration
• 2+ years of experience in Content Marketing strategy and production
• 4+ years of experience with SEO, SEM, Social, and Web analytics and testing
• 2+ years working in Financial Services marketing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
• At least 4 years of experience in planning, executing, and analyzing marketing programs
• At least 4 years of experience leading cross-functional teams

• Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., $170,800 - $194,900 in McLean, VA and $155,300 - $177,200 in Richmond, VA
