The Senior Manager, Influencer Relations will lead and develop Ulta Beauty's influencer strategy, oversee influencer marketing programs, build creator networks, manage relationships with influencers and agencies, and ensure strategic alignment across teams to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of three, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive influencer strategies to capitalize on key business opportunities, enhancing brand visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Integrated Marketing, Media Center of Excellence, Merchandising, and Events teams to infuse influencer strategy and maximize brand moments.
  • Craft strategies that align with business objectives, delivering relevance and EMV across key guest cohorts and categories.
  • Proactively communicate influencer marketing expertise with the broader organization through education and insights.
  • Strategically expand the creator network to include programs such as the Ulta Beauty Collective and UB Creates, as well as other initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Pro and Design teams to enhance internal talent activations aligned with influencer strategies.
  • Identify and onboard high-impact creators to amplify brand reach and influence.
  • Develop and execute an influencer mailer strategy to boost brand awareness and drive EMV.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with creators, influencers, talent agencies, and internal teams to grow programs and brand awareness.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of two annual creator trips to strengthen key brand relationships.
  • Manage multi-million dollar budgets, negotiate talent and agency fees, and monitor budget performance.
  • Manage agency relationships, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with legal to ensure FTC compliance for paid influencer partnerships and content reviews.
  • Partner with Rapid Response team on influencer-related issues, providing counsel to mitigate risks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in social, influencer marketing and/or communications in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industry.
  • Experience building, managing, and mentoring a dynamic team of influence marketers.
  • Strong understanding of consumer codes within social platforms, current events, and subculture trends.
  • Inclusive leadership with high EQ, championing diversity and representation.
  • Excellent communication skills across various platforms and channels.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, creators, and talent agents.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on goal achievement.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and open to market and competitive changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multifunctional teams and leverage resources effectively.
  • Experience in crisis and issue management related to creator partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in social, influencer marketing, or communications in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries.

  • Salary range of $102,900 to $150,000 per year with potential for additional compensation through bonus plan.
