About the Role

The Sr. Manager, Performance Analytics & Insights at Pfizer is responsible for driving performance tracking and insight generation for the commercial organization. This role involves supporting the standardization and centralization of commercial analytics and reporting ecosystems, working closely with business stakeholders in the Chief Marketing Office and other teams, and leveraging data to inform strategic decisions. The team is dynamic, collaborative, and focused on turning data into meaningful insights that impact patient lives and Pfizer's future as a data-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the build and standardization of commercial analytics capabilities.
  • Develop and execute creation of in-house datasets to drive patient and HCP insights into infrastructure of care.
  • Frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance.
  • Identify business partners' information needs and develop solutions to address those needs.
  • Connect datasets to tell compelling stories and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate with other analytical teams to adapt global strategies and standardize performance metrics and tracking.
  • Leverage thought leadership to innovate analytics capabilities and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Align with other commercial analytics teams to ensure cohesive activities with stakeholders such as brand teams, leaders, and marketers.
  • Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources and reporting, including real-world data and Data Science, to improve reporting processes and tools.
  • Support dialogue to adapt global strategies and standardization of performance metrics and tracking via data gathering from sources such as vendors, dashboards, and queries.
  • Perform analysis and performance tracking to understand impacts to business.
  • Oversee complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data through technical strategy and analytical capabilities.
  • Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and quality of data services and pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, economics, statistics or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related fields.
  • Experience with analytics, statistics, and/or database knowledge and tools.
  • Understanding of data visualization tools and experience designing and building complex dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik).
  • Extensive expertise in SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience in data types/formats, data architecture, pipeline optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing/RDBMS, ETL scripting tools, and IDEs.
  • Experience working in Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of data cloud platforms like Snowflake or Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
  • Advanced scripting skills for automation (e.g., R, Python, Alteryx).
  • Strong project management skills for overseeing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Ability to influence without authority, set business direction, and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Recent Healthcare Life Sciences (pharma preferred) and ecosystem professional industry experience.
  • Commercial/marketing experience.
  • Experience developing and coaching others, influencing peers, and guiding team work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant quantitative discipline.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in biopharma, analytics, or related fields.

Benefits & Perks

  • Annual base salary ranging from $120,800 to $201,400.
  • Participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of base salary.
  • Eligibility for share-based long-term incentive programs.
  • Comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions, additional retirement contributions, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health coverage (medical, dental, vision).
  • Work location flexibility with 2-3 days per week in Pfizer office.
