About the Role

The Sr Program Manager Marketing Operations at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is responsible for leading the integration and coordination of cross-functional marketing initiatives within the marketing program management office and operations team. This role requires being onsite in San Diego full time and involves driving global alignment across various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-impact projects. The position demands exceptional collaboration, organization, executive communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the end-to-end project oversight and coordination, including meeting facilitation, plans, reporting, and timelines management across all PMO initiatives.
  • Collaborates with key project sponsors, PMO, and executive review boards to develop project goals, set prioritization of deliverables, coordinate business processes, and facilitate decisions for on-time project delivery.
  • Gathers and generates requirements such as schedule, stakeholder identification, communication methods, scope, milestones, and prioritization within a cross-functional team to develop project plans for large and complex projects.
  • Designs process architecture including swim lane/flow, responsible parties, touchpoints, and requirements for each element in a plan.
  • Manages key project metrics and works with the team to ensure project success when metrics deviate from the Plan of Record.
  • Oversees risk mitigation across projects, identifies next steps for decisions based on issues, and provides advice to junior team members.
  • Communicates with senior stakeholders and internal/external customers about issue resolution, schedules, bug trackers, and project status updates.
  • Assists in the development, piloting, and training of new tools/methods used for system-wide implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Computer Science, or related Program Management field.
  • PMO, PMP, Agile Methodology, or Six Sigma Project Management Certification.
  • 10+ years of project management or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with operating budgets, resources, and project financials.
  • 4+ years of experience interacting with executive leadership (Vice President level and above).
  • 3+ years of experience with project management tools (e.g., Visio, Smartsheet, Asana, Trello, SharePoint).
  • 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, and Asana.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) in a relevant field, which may substitute for work experience.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CAMP, Prince2, CSM, PI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, CPD, which may substitute for up to four years of work experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
