This opportunity entails managing assigned project(s) throughout their full lifecycle, including developing scope and technical sections of proposals, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing project delivery to ensure quality work, on time, on budget, and client satisfaction. The role involves proactively managing budgets, schedules, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and client communications, providing high-level technical tasks, and coordinating with internal and external partners on design-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assisting in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction. Lead client contract scoping and negotiations.
Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
Implement the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Lead the development and execution of the project management plan. Supervise and mentor team to overall project objectives.
Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff; develop plans for project staff reporting; and support performance and compensation reviews.
Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, build client relationships, and pursue efforts for mega and super mega projects. Lead proposal development and interview presentations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience.
4 years of successful management of engineering projects.
Experience in delivering multi-disciplined or large/complex projects on time, on budget, with quality, and client satisfaction.
Ability to identify and handle risk and change management independently.
Experience leading large teams inside and outside of HNTB, including managing sub-consultants.
Proficiency with system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects.
Experience serving as the lead interface with clients.

Nice to Have

Master's degree in Engineering.
15 years relevant experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
12 years of relevant experience.
4 years of project management experience.
