About the Role

The Sr. Project Manager Marketing Operations will support the firm's strategic priorities for growth and brand enhancement by driving operational excellence, collaboration, and transparency within the Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team. The role involves orchestrating and executing strategic and interdepartmental projects, serving as a critical link between strategy formulation and implementation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of MBD functions across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project management for MBD workstreams related to the design, implementation, and launch of the firm's Next-Gen CRM system, including managing complex requirements and multiple workstreams.
  • Facilitate the MBD team's realignment in support of firm strategy by developing detailed plans, outlining steps, timelines, and resources needed, and ensuring smooth, efficient, and well-coordinated processes.
  • Ensure transparent communication and collaboration among team leaders, create proper documentation of roles and responsibilities, and support team members with necessary tools and resources.
  • Assist in priority MBD AI optimization projects from planning through execution, tracking success, and measuring impact on team performance.
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to monitor key metrics and milestones, and facilitate ongoing operational change and process improvement projects.
  • Leverage foundational project management skills such as defining scope and objectives, developing detailed plans, coordinating resources, and setting milestones.
  • Maintain and improve the MBD team's knowledge management resources, including shared libraries, to foster consistency, collaboration, and learning.
  • Assist with the budgeting process, including strategic planning and managing departmental budget needs throughout the year.
  • Support project management related to content development and strategy for firm conferences and events.
  • Manage other key projects and resources, including defining system requirements, stakeholder communication, ROI analysis, change management, and project documentation.

Requirements

  • Excellent project management skills, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment, with a focus on marketing and business development tools, technologies, and applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strategic thinking, sound professional judgment, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze options, and implement solutions.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Confidence in managing projects, juggling priorities, and driving cross-functional initiatives to completion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot, AI, and familiarity with CRM systems or pipeline tracking tools.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, ideally in a professional services environment with Marketing and Business Development experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with legal or professional services firms is preferred.
  • Experience with change management and process optimization projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Master's Degree is preferred.
