Job Description

About the Role

TE Energy is seeking an Account Manager to partner with the Energy Crompton Business, responsible for revenue growth in a defined territory and industry/technology. The role involves managing demand creation, building customer relationships, supporting pipeline development, and participating in contract negotiations. The position is based in a home office and reports to the Regional Sales Manager. The Crompton Instruments business offers a range of digital metering systems serving the electrical energy sector from power generation to final consumers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic objectives to support business growth.
  • Support and manage key customers on a day-to-day basis.
  • Maintain existing instrumentation business and secure profitable growth for the Americas Region.
  • Develop strategies for the growth of new products with the Global Product Management team.
  • Prepare and deliver product and systems training to customers.
  • Penetrate the Energy Management and System Integrator markets to expand the CI systems portfolio.
  • Develop distribution channels and new specialist instrumentation stockists for Crompton products.
  • Maintain customer database and participate in marketing communications activities and new product information dissemination.
  • Prepare and deliver regular business review briefs for the geographical sales area.
  • Schedule meetings with internal departments to resolve 'road block' issues.
  • Maintain and update data within TE Avante/CDA database and Salesforce.com systems.
  • Review current business practices and processes for improvements and best practices.
  • Assist in collating information for the National Sales Manager to present to Senior Management.
  • Achieve individual goals and objectives within specified timeframes.
  • Ensure legal responsibilities and compliance are understood and risks are managed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of sales-related experience; a Master's degree or higher may be preferred.
  • Technical qualification in electrical discipline or electrical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of energy metering and/or communications protocols is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel 50%-75%.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated performance in developing and executing strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $110,500 to $165,800, commensurate with experience.
