About the Role

The Sr Sales Manager - In House at Hyatt Vacation Club is responsible for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, and achieving sales goals. The role involves leading daily sales activities, coordinating with off-property channels, and ensuring proper service delivery to enhance customer loyalty and revenue growth. The position emphasizes relationship building, market knowledge, and delivering exceptional customer service within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and handle sales opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, and other activities.
  • Coordinate with off-property sales channels to ensure efforts are aligned and not duplicative.
  • Monitor and oversee the day-to-day activities of direct reports in the sales team.
  • Participate in sales calls to acquire new business and close sales opportunities.
  • Execute operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.
  • Identify new business opportunities to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
  • Understand market trends, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, and economic factors to optimize sales strategies.
  • Serve customers by understanding their business needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Support the company's service and relationship strategy to drive customer loyalty.
  • Provide excellent customer service and set a positive example for guest relations.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Hire, develop, and train management and hourly employees to meet operational needs.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years of experience in sales and marketing.
  • OR a 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing.
  • 5+ years of time sales experience.
  • 2+ years of time sales leadership experience.
  • CA Real Estate License is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the hospitality or vacation ownership industry.
  • Additional leadership or management experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales and marketing within a related professional area.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and market knowledge.
  • Ability to lead and monitor sales activities effectively.
