About the Role

Waters is looking for an Informatics Sales Manager who has been a proven leader to lead our North American Informatics sales team. This is a great opportunity to lead a team of outstanding sales and support people, while also getting to work for a company that is passionate about delivering benefit to our customers, employees, community, and shareholders. The role involves motivating and developing a field sales and support organization, proactively identifying and resolving problems, controlling costs, and maximizing sales team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct sales and support responsibility for Enterprise Informatics revenue including achieving financial objectives for orders, sales, margin, and spending budgets.
  • Collaborate with field and worldwide marketing groups to build a dynamic and aggressive business plan to improve market share, drive next-generation informatics products, and achieve budget in all geographic, product, and market segments.
  • Establish, reinforce, and build upon strategic customer relationships and Center of Innovations.
  • Establish strategic relationships with the executive levels of major accounts and ensure their direct reports maintain these relationships.
  • Ensure a truly great customer experience by focusing on customer engagement and success.
  • Develop direct reports to improve sales performance and enable career growth.
  • Manage the Field Sales Team and oversee key customer activities.
  • Attain the Annual Operating Plan, including forecasting and Salesforce compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's, or PhD in scientific areas such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry preferred.
  • At least 5 years of direct sales experience with a confirmed success record.
  • Previous experience selling CDS, ELN, SDMS, and SaaS solutions in a GxP environment preferred.
  • Previous sales management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Waters Informatics Products, specifically Empower Software, is a plus.
  • Success in a sophisticated selling environment, having sold enterprise software or high-tech instrumentation.
  • Knowledge in IT (networking, Windows domain, client/server, database, cloud computing).
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and regulated market space.
  • Experience with CRM or other sales and customer platforms.
  • Knowledge of various sales tactics, broad business, and financial acumen.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Waters Informatics Products, specifically Empower Software.
  • Previous experience selling CDS, ELN, SDMS, and SaaS solutions in a GxP environment.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in scientific fields such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry.
