Sr Software Dev QA Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans on functional, regression and performance test cases based on feature/hardware specifications in a bigger setups with different Fortinet and 3rd party products integrated.
• Define complex test cases exercising various features and coming up with creative ways to find bugs.
• Explore and add different Fortinet devices to solution-interoperability testing.
• Handle customer issues by analyzing logs, replicating issues in labs, and validating solutions.
• Identify, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
• Provide QA test reports with accuracy on time, without missing deadlines.
• Execute test cases, analyze and report test results to management.
• Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts.
• Build and maintain new test infrastructure for functional and customer-found defect reproduction.
• Analyze logs and root cause defects through debugging.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant work experience writing and executing wireless QA test plans.
• Good understanding of Quality Assurance processes and methodologies, such as writing detailed test plans, bug reports, documenting failure scenarios, and isolating problems.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills with meticulous attention to detail and a diligent mindset.
• Experience working with Linux, UNIX or Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience and good understanding of Networking/Wi-Fi technologies/Protocols such as 11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be.
• Experience designing and running functional, stress/load, and performance tests.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with wireless test tools & analyzers such as Wireshark, Ominipeek, Ixia Veriwave, Chariot, iperf.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments, agile methodology, and changing testbed scenarios.
• Python automation skills are an added advantage.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), an advanced degree is a plus
