About the Role

The Staff VP Product Strategy role at Elevance Health is responsible for leading the enterprise product strategy across the company's full portfolio. The position involves connecting business priorities, market dynamics, and consumer insights to define and deliver differentiated, digital-first, and AI-enabled health solutions. The role includes developing and governing multi-year strategies and roadmaps that guide investments, enable innovation, and ensure alignment across business units, with a focus on enterprise growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Leads enterprise product strategy and drives end-to-end process excellence for new product innovation, market assessment, rationalization, and prioritization.
Conducts market assessments, competitive analysis, and TAM/SAM/SOM sizing to evaluate enterprise opportunities and inform investment priorities.
Owns and builds the enterprise growth plan, ensuring alignment of new and existing products with long-term strategic objectives.
Develops and maintains multi-year enterprise product roadmaps that integrate consumer, employer, and market insights with growth and innovation priorities.
Builds and presents business cases that articulate market opportunity, financial impact, investment needs, and risk/return scenarios to guide enterprise decision-making.
Leads build, buy, or partner assessments to determine the optimal approach for addressing enterprise product opportunities.
Monitors and integrates emerging market trends, innovations, and technologies (including AI and automation) into enterprise product strategies.
Partners with enterprise marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and messaging that communicate product value propositions.
Facilitates ongoing enterprise innovation dialogue among business units, Growth Studio, and local markets to identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities; ensures vetted concepts are advanced into product development and implementation.
Provides executive-level visibility into portfolio health, growth performance, and innovation outcomes.
Hires, mentors, and develops a high-performing product strategy team with deep expertise in health, digital, and emerging markets.

Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience leading enterprise product strategy and driving process excellence for new product innovation, market assessment, and prioritization.
Ability to conduct market assessments, competitive analysis, and TAM/SAM/SOM sizing.
Proven track record of building and maintaining multi-year enterprise product roadmaps.
Experience developing business cases that articulate market opportunity, financial impact, and investment needs.
Experience leading build, buy, or partner assessments for enterprise product opportunities.
Ability to monitor and integrate emerging market trends, including AI and automation, into strategies.
Strong partnership skills to develop go-to-market strategies and messaging.
Leadership skills to hire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

Qualifications
