About the Role

The Storage - Channel Manager role is a remote/teleworker position within Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a global edge-to-cloud company focused on advancing data connectivity, protection, analysis, and action from edge to cloud. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales community to success by communicating direction aligned with the company's vision and strategy.
  • Inspire the team to meet and exceed sales goals and manage the HPE sales motion towards growth and increased profitability.
  • Create a high performing team through recruiting, developing, and retaining talent, and organize the team to maximize achievement, market coverage, and financial performance.
  • Actively coach team members to ensure best in class individual and team sales performance.
  • Orchestrate major enterprise-level customer engagements to deliver results and ensure the best customer experience.
  • Manage escalations to solutions and opportunities, and drive a hunting mentality by engaging with key customer executives.
  • Guide teams to craft the right technical, IT investment, and pricing strategies to win deals.
  • Partner with stakeholders across business units to maximize customer success and team efficiency.
  • Establish and manage end-to-end sales methodology, including strategic and tactical sales planning, forecasting, and customer feedback analysis.

Requirements

  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 8-10+ years of experience in sales with success in achieving higher quotas and sales goals.
  • Experience mentoring sales professionals and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Understanding of HPE's vision, strategy, and portfolio of products and solutions.
  • Strong strategic leadership, customer relationship building, and business analysis skills.
  • Ability to deploy sales methodology, drive results, and interpret financial and market data.
  • Experience managing complex multi-BU business deals and navigating risks within assigned territories.

Nice to Have

  • Vertical/Industry knowledge and understanding of industry drivers and trends.
  • Knowledge of IT industry developments and technology trends.
  • Experience in managing or influencing sales teams through virtual or stretch assignments.
  • Additional skills such as coaching, creativity, critical thinking, and customer experience strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10+ years of sales experience with a record of achieving sales goals.
  • Experience mentoring or leading sales teams.
