The Strategic Analytics Marketing Manager will leverage leadership and strategic skills to influence promotional strategies, build strong cross-functional relationships, and drive consumer engagement and profitable growth within the company's merchandising and promotional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in divisional merchandising strategy sessions and implement go-to-market monthly promotional strategies to meet customer and business goals.
  • Build category-level bi-weekly promotional plans that deliver on event criteria, themes, claims, and predefined KPIs.
  • Develop category and branded coupon offer pools supporting ad plans to drive customer engagement and unit lift beyond base forecasts.
  • Ensure brand-level promo and coupon plans drive unit lift and profitable sales growth while addressing funded promo plans that may underperform.
  • Support Category Managers in aligning vendor promo submissions with category guardrails and maximizing impact of coupons and scan backs.
  • Establish clear, prioritized activity roadmaps that deliver company ambitions, including promotional strategy changes and process improvements.
  • Identify participating categories, brands, and programs for mass market promotions and personalized coupons based on impact projections.
  • Develop and evaluate category ad blocks and personalized coupon deals using impact metrics to approve or reject offers.
  • Use data to develop measures and metrics that provide actionable insights, and conduct analyses to identify drivers of trends.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels, including cross-functional SVPs, through strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Continuously evaluate performance against KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive KPIs such as SKU count, offer strength, purchaser count, savings percentage, and deal simplicity score.
  • Refine coupon strategies based on performance metrics, adjusting parameters like offer types, depth, and frequency.
  • Partner with Price & Value leadership, IT, and DDAT to identify and implement new technologies for efficiency.
  • Communicate and align with Category Managers and vendors on optimized coupon discounts.
  • Leverage data, insights, and analytics to influence decision-making and stakeholder recommendations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to promote an integrated approach to organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience developing, implementing, and executing retail merchandising and/or marketing programs.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership in a highly competitive multi-unit environment, including retail, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
  • 5+ years' experience understanding and breaking down complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time.
  • 5+ years' experience collaborating effectively across different business functions and leadership styles.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly, up to 20% of the time, based on business needs.

Nice to Have

  • 7+ years' experience developing, implementing, and executing retail merchandising and/or marketing programs.
  • 7+ years' demonstrated successful leadership in a highly competitive multi-unit environment, including retail, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
  • 7+ years' experience actively addressing issues decisively while considering broader organizational dynamics.
  • 7+ years' experience leading under pressure, adapting to changing dynamics, and finding solutions that satisfy multiple stakeholders.
  • 7+ years' experience understanding and breaking down complex situations for impactful solutions in real time.
  • 7+ years' experience demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • 7+ years' experience managing a large organization and a multi-million-dollar business unit to achieve results.
