Key Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing existing and potential markets of complex scope.
Participates in the development and articulation of strategies to meet business objectives.
Integrates complex products into a coherent portfolio of products focused on a market.
Manages the portfolio like a 'product' including business plan, positioning, buying process, market requirements, and marketing plan.
Analyzes market data to identify trends and opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information, and creates compelling market analysis presentations.
Drives the needs within targeted markets and analyzes the market segmentations.
Recommends which segment(s) to actively pursue and drives the growth process.
Partners with management team and other marketing functions (e.g., product marketing, product management, MarCom) to ensure effective alignment with strategic goals.
Oversees creation of complex product strategies that integrate well with Applied Materials' products.
Supports the vision and key phases on deliverables for complex products.

Requirements

Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field.
Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
Leads others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives guided by functional policies.
Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt different points of view.
Experience in assessing markets, developing strategies, and managing product portfolios.
Ability to analyze market data and identify trends and opportunities.
