About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the global team of communications managers to boost the company's reputation and awareness through driving earned media coverage across all zones.
  • Grabbing media buzz, pitching articles in top markets, and tracking media wins.
  • Crafting buzzworthy content for media releases, social media, and newsletters.
  • Planning events and boosting teamwork across the organization.
  • Coming up with fresh ideas and creative ways to create content, grow the media audience, and boost reputation.
  • Fine-tuning coverage, measurement, and reporting skills for Siemens' internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Masters or Bachelors degree in public relations, communication, journalism or related area.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in copywriting and editing.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms like Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Confident in public speaking and media engagement.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable with frequent virtual meetings.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with media relations or communications strategies.
  • Knowledge of media monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Previous internship or work experience in public relations or media.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a university undergraduate or master's student.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
