Student Worker - Social Media Assistant -NFWS

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Posting advanced information about campus events.
• Communicating important campus notices (i.e., parking advisories, housing information, finance, and academic deadlines).
• Assisting with social media reporting and monitoring.
• Designing graphics for GCU social platforms.
• Attending GCU events to capture content, including photos, videos, and general social content.
• Copywriting, including caption writing and messaging for partners and campaigns.

Requirements

• Outstanding writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Canva or Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Experience creating original social media content.
• Advanced knowledge of CapCut.
• Understanding of audiences and customer service in responses.
• Advanced knowledge of Facebook, Twitter/X, Threads, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.
• Knowledge of AP Style.
• Experience with Hootsuite or similar social media management tools is preferable.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor student or 3.0 GPA as a Master student.
• Maintain good financial and academic standing with the University.

Nice to Have

• Photography skills.
• Experience with writing for a brand.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with current memes, challenges, audio trends, and viral formats.
• Knowledge of how to adapt trends to fit the brand or organization.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA (Bachelor) or 3.0 GPA (Master).
• Maintain good financial and academic standing with the University.
